Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Rockville Centre, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 AM–10 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Punjabi Bites at (516) 965-4053; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is clover.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

The food was so good and fresh. My favorites were the gobi Manchurian dry, and hakka noodles. Their garlic naan is amazing, so crispy and flavorful.

Bought the Biryani Chicken (mild) 1. It looked good but all I could taste was black pepper and very light touch of seasoning. By the time you start chewing, its just plain rice. 2. The chicken was the same with tye flavor. Hakka Chicken Noodles 1. Looked good 2. Seasoning was very light. I have had many different flavors of these foods and all was flavored well. If you have had tue authentic dishes before, save yourself the trouble and money and try somewhere else.

Fantastic food. Newly opened from what I hear. My family decided to try it and we were not disappointed. My mom, who usually doesn’t like Indian food loved it. The samosa chaat was incredible. The prices are super reasonable. Actually, they should probably increase them because they’re almost too inexpensive. The only downside is that they said it would be ready in 30 min and it took an hour. Even when I was in the store waiting for my food, she said it was ready, but then took another 15 min to come out. Hopefully they figure out how to get food out in a timely manner or at least estimate properly when it will be ready.

Such delicious food and nice people. The dosa was excellent!! I took the chef’s suggestion and had a wonderful dish I never would have tried otherwise. Highly recommend. I’ll be back soon!

I usually get my Indian food from places around Hicksville or Hillside Ave, but I decided to give Punjabi Bites a try and it was worth it. One thing to know — ask for the mix grill, even though it’s not on the menu. It came with chicken, fish, and kebabs and everything was cooked really well with great flavor. I also ordered the dhaba curry chicken, hakka noodles, and butter naan. All of it was solid and tasted fresh. The spices and seasoning were balanced and not overpowering. Overall, a really good new spot in the area. I’ll definitely be back.
